August Creator Club Event: Crafting For a Cause

August Creator Club Event: Crafting For a Cause

Join us virtually on Thursday, August 11th, at 5PM MST for an hour of creativity and service, hosted by fellow creator and DreamBox owner, Stacey Gillespie. Read all the details below and reserve your spot!

Watch and learn or craft-a-long

We are all creators and what better way to create than to lift up the spirits of children who need a boost. Learn the steps to making a cute little cuddly bear, called the KimberBear, for a child in need. There are free patterns for both the sewing and machine embroidery versions.

Make it for someone you love that needs that extra comfort or donate it for a little child at a hospital, homeless shelter or safe house. When you register for the event, we'll send you a supply list, so you can watch and learn or craft-a-long with Stacey.

Tour Stacey's DreamBox, Sew Station, and Cubby

Stacey will show us how she's organized her Create Room furniture and her favorite organization tips and tricks. Come with your questions!

"I love how customizable the DreamBox is. It’s the main reason I bought mine. The shelves can be placed in any configuration I need and the totes are easily moved when I need to change my setup with the tote track system." - Stacey

Prizes and more

Stacey has some fun prizes to give away and will draw winners at the end of the event. Join live for a chance to win! By attending this event, you will also receive 75 Creator Club points that can be used towards discounts and rewards. Create your free Creator Club account here

Meet the host, Stacey Gillespie

I’ve been a creator all my life. When my 5 boys were young and I was an Air Force wife moving around the world I tole painted, crocheted / knit blankets, scrapbooked, decorated cakes and learned to cook meals from many different countries. I sold Stampin’ Up! for a few years since I love making cards and scrapbook pages with ink and paper. Now that I am no longer traveling the world and my sons are raised, I spend my time creating Cricut projects, painting watercolors, sewing quilts — and my most recent passion — making machine embroidery projects. ♥️ I love having people come to my house and create with me. One of the ways my Mother showed us she loved us was by making us something. I find myself doing that, too. I don’t keep most of what I create since I usually make it for someone else. When I pour my heart into creating something specifically for one person then I think of them throughout the creative process. With that same love I have for those who are close to me, it’s really rewarding when I create something that can help someone who is in need. I was really excited to try making my first KimberBear. KimberBell, Shannon Fabrics, Clover and Fairfield all collaborated to make a really cute floppy bear that we can donate to children in need. The patterns are FREE and we can spread the love by making and donating one or more of these KimberBears ourselves!
